LocalQuote SASkip hire quotes

Last updated 7 September 2026

Terms of use.

Short version: we publish information and pass your quote request to one operator. We do not hire out skips, we do not quote prices, and we are not a party to whatever you agree with the operator.

1. Who you are dealing with

skipquotesa.com is operated by LocalQuote SA. Contact details are in the site footer and on the privacy notice.

2. What this service is

We publish guidance about skip hire in South Africa and we operate a form that captures a quote request. When you submit that form, and only with your consent, we pass the request to a single skip-hire operator covering the suburb you gave us so they can contact you.

3. What this service is not

  • We are not a skip-hire company. We do not own bins, operate vehicles, or hold waste management licences.
  • We do not quote prices. No figure on this site is a quotation, an estimate, or an offer. Only the operator can price your job, because only they can see your access and weigh your load.
  • Submitting the form does not book a skip. It creates a request. Nothing is confirmed until the operator confirms it with you.
  • We do not promise a delivery time, a response time, or that an operator covers your area. If we have no operator for your suburb, we will tell you.

4. The contract is between you and the operator

Any hire, price, hire period, weight allowance, overload charge, damage to a driveway, missed collection or disposal obligation is a matter between you and the operator you deal with. We are not a party to it, we do not act as their agent for the purpose of forming it, and we do not guarantee their performance. Ask them for their terms in writing before you accept a quote.

5. Accuracy of the information we publish

The size ranges, indicative densities, disposal rules and municipal requirements described on this site are general guidance drawn from published sources, cited on each guide. They are not legal advice, not engineering advice, and not specific to your property.

Skip sizes in South Africa are trade convention, not a national standard. Municipal by-laws, landfill restrictions and facility hours change, sometimes at short notice. Confirm anything that affects your cost or your compliance with the operator quoting you and with your municipality. Where a claim on this site would depend on facts we cannot verify, we say so rather than filling the gap.

6. Using the form honestly

You agree not to:

  • submit another person’s details without their permission;
  • submit requests you have no intention of following up;
  • use the form or the site to send automated traffic, scrape content, or test security without our written permission;
  • submit anything unlawful, or personal information about a third party in the notes field.

We rate-limit submissions and may decline or discard a request that appears automated or abusive.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the site up but do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change or remove pages, areas or job types at any time.

8. Content and intellectual property

The text, structure and design of this site belong to LocalQuote SA. You may quote short extracts with a link back. Bulk copying of the page set, or reproduction of the guides to build a competing directory, is not permitted. Documents we link to remain the property of their publishers.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your reliance on the general guidance published here, from an operator’s acts or omissions, or from a request that is delayed or not acted on. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Personal information

How we handle personal information is set out in the privacy and POPIA notice, which forms part of these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the current version.

One request, one local operator. No price invented here.
